Saturday Afternoon Treat

I am sitting here looking at the new Rowan Fine Tweed in Buckden, which is a pale tweed grey, and I am starting a swatch so that those of you who can make it on Saturday afternoon,  can have a play!  We have a vast selection of the new yarns available for you to try and then there is the hard decision about what to knit first.

The Fine Tweed is slubbier (is that a word?) than the Scottish Tweed 4ply was and, I think, softer.  With 24 shades to choose from there is a shade for everyone. It is knitting up amazingly, giving a slightly mottled effect.

The Rowan Tweed comes in 18 shades and knits as a DK so very versitile.

This is just a small taste of what’s available on line and in store – especially for those who we will see on Saturday for coffee and cake, yes Helen is making some more delicious cakes for us, and tea if you desire.
