I have finally had a few moments to finish off the Mirasol Ushya drop stitch scarf that was started back at the end of last year.
The drop stitch pattern means that the texture of the yarn can be seen and although it is a short scarf, it winds round the neck and can be fixed with a pin or brooch (here we used a KnitPro shawl pin) . Very simple yet effective! And it only took one skein.
This morning we have had the final new seasons yarns from Mirasol and Araucania.
Sawya from Mirasol is a light aran weight cotton, alpaca and silk mix with a luxurious drape. The patterns from Jane Ellison in The Mirasol Collection 22: Sawya are a great range of summer garments for every occasion.
Lenga is a chunky cotton, silk and microfibre mix which has an amazing shine to it. The patterns by Jenny Watson are in her Lenga book and range from long cable jumpers to scoop neck jumpers.
Yet again Jenny Watson has come up trumps. This time its with a mini-knits book in Mirasol Yarns. It has twenty lovely patterns in it for all the family and for the home as well. With all this cold snowy weather, its just what we need for curling up next to the fire with on these long Winter evenings. The book is called Mirasol Designer Mini Knits, is £7.50 and can be found here. Helen x
