We were tickled pink last week when a couple of the ladies from ‘Knitting Noras’ of Bolton dropped off some of their new ‘Naked Knitting 2010′ calendar. Featuring a full page for each month this full sized calendar is a must for every knitters Christmas stocking!
early in 2009, the Knitting Noras sadly lost Sarah Richards, their founder, to breast cancer. Many of their group have been affected by cancer and this led to their support of ‘The Christie’ as their chosen Charity. This hospital is one of the leading centres for cancer research in the north west of Britain. The ‘models’ featured in the calendar are all members of the ‘Knitting Noras’ group and all the featured knitted/crocheted items have been produced by them.
Priced at just £9.99 all proceeds from the sale of this calendar are going to the Christie Hospital in Manchester who specialise in the treatment of cancer suffering patients.

At last the new Debbie Bliss Magazine issue 3 is with us and on sale. We’ve all been very busy since their arrival yesterday (Steve drove up to Designer Yarns in Keighley to collect them to make sure our customers received their copies before anyone else in the UK!). We had a lovely time last Tuesday entertaining 18 lovely ladies from the Weobley Craft Group from the beautiful village of Weobley in Herefordshire. They arrived at approximately 11.15 and spent their time browsing through all the new seasons yarns and publications only interupted by tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes!

After an hour and a half it was time for Patricia Baggot the group organiser to wake up Bob (the coach driver) from his slumbers, round up the ladies and head off to Knutsford for lunch and a visit to a local craft shop in the afternoon. Patricia later said that the ladies wished they had have had longer to spend with us at Stash Fine Yarns. We look forward to welcoming Patricia and the Weobley Craft Group again in the near future.
