Along all the excitment of the move, I am also trying to knit myself some summer tops. The one I’ve just finished is from the Spring/Summer 2008 VK magazine, and as it was in Rowan Bamboo Tape I didn’t have to try and find a suitable yarn as we often have to for the American patterns. It has worked out beautifully – and quickly as it was knitted on 10mm needles. Perfect for the weather we’re having when it doesn’t quite know what it’s doing.
I have also started a lace shrug from ‘Lace Style’ again in the Bamboo tape, and hopefully it will work out. Also on the go is a lace shawl in Mirasol T’ika from the Mirasol book 2 for the shop, it is a lovely soft cotton, and stunning in the bright red.
In between times we are sorting and planning for the move, which is very exciting.
